Athletics: Raphael Mberlina Ngaguele breaks Cameroon's 200m record
Raphael Mberlina Ngaguele, 20 years old and a final year student at Lycée Général Leclerc in Yaoundé, just broke Cameroon’s 200-meter record on March 7, 2021 at the first interclub meeting of the season. He reduced the record to 20´09´´ (20 seconds 09 cents) against 20´31´´ (20 seconds 31 cents), a record held by his elders Joseph Batandon and Emmanuel Esseme. Being qualified for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the young Cameroonian of 1.83 m for 85 kilograms followed by coach Tchamake Ngape, would like to mark the world with the talent that God has put in him, and be able to train other young Cameroonians with him . While waiting to transform his dream of an Olympic podium in Tokyo, Raphael Mberlina Ngaguele has several opportunities to shine before the Olympic Games: the Kadouna Grand Prix in Nigeria, the African Championships in Oran in Algeria, etc.
